Executive Agile Leadership Training

Executive Agile Leadership training is a series of short, punchy, interactive sessions which bring the focus on five key principles which are aligned with organisational objectives:

Purpose, adaptability, collaboration, connective leadership, and empowerment.

We avoid bringing specific agile terms to the programme. Instead, we talk in business or organisational terms that help leaders understand the shift in mindset required to become an agile leader of an agile organisation.

This is an opportunity to embrace some new thinking at your organisation, challenging yourselves and how you work. The sessions, led by Agility in Mind, are supported by follow-up actions to apply learning directly to your immediate circumstances and give the opportunity to discuss what was heard and how you can work within a leadership team.

Learning modules

The following workshops are available to build up a programme.

PURPOSE
Although change is challenging, we have the opportunity to succeed because we can learn from others. In this first session about purpose, we will look at how Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, brought the organisation back out of the wilderness by shifting mindsets and re-discovering itself.

COLLABORATION
If you have a purpose you can collaborate. We build on the first session to show the confidence that purpose builds can only be harnessed with a supporting culture. We look at how individuals and teams create a culture that supports collaboration and how this can be curated for sustainability, rather than simply dictated, which can be detrimental.

ADAPTABILITY
“Adapt or die” may seem like a harsh directive for corporate managers, but there is a certain necessity to constantly move forward and adapt to new market opportunities. What’s more, even decades of success are no guarantee that the future will work out – Note Woolworths, Thorntons, Pan-Am, Blockbuster, and Myspace.

CONNECTIVE LEADERSHIP
To adapt, you must lead empathetically. In this session about Connective Leadership we explore what it means to have the courage to experiment – which leads to innovation. We expose why so many companies are often just a poor facsimile of the market leaders and how developing authenticity is needed to avoid falling into the same trap.

EMPOWERMENT
To empower you must have a purpose – bringing us full circle to the original session this is where it all comes together. Are you a manager or a leader? How do you develop the moral authority to gracefully enable others, developing the skills of others for the greater good? We ask the question “are we enlightened mini-despots who let ego get in the way, or are we selfless, empowering leaders who strive to find the better way”. Come prepared to challenge yourselves with the big questions!
